It would be interesting to see where GMG.com posters are from, and how far they have to drive to attend any UNT sporting event.  I'm sure many are from the DFW area and are within a 1-hour drive of Denton, not including traffic.  Many are several hours away.  Others, like myself, are just too far to make many sporting events.

I am in Frisco, used to have 2 floor seats, but at age 82 I just don't want the night drive. I also gave up 2 club seats after getting Covid twice and wanted to avoid large crowds. Wait! This is North Texas athletics. No need to worry about large crowds.

Frisco!  I have a daughter who lives in Frisco with daughter and husband.

Wardly, I’m 79.  We need to meet some day(soon!). Maybe break bread and talk UNT.

Thought about not posting this. But, haven't seen it mentioned yet.  ESPN has Hodge as the #12 most likely mid-major coach to move up.,

I think this may well be our last year with Coach Hodge. Mac doing so well at Tech is causing this as all the big schools want the next McCasland.  It’s sad but we will recover.

Yep. The McCasland at Tech success certainly won't help.  We have a wonderful system in place. Hodge learned from Mac. Hopefully, someone is learning from Hodge and can take over some day.

If we pull in somebody new from the outside, he will want to implement his own system with his own set of beliefs on how to build a program.  Why upset the apple cart ?  It's very risky and can ruin the momentum that has been building here over the last 7 of 8 years.

Coaching trees are incredibly successful in the NFL. That may be the perfect way to run a consistently successful mid-major program.

counter-point: guy on P4 message board. - "Hodge just inherited a successful program from GM, has shown no ability to grow that program and in his two years as head coach didn't win a conference title or a significant post-season game"

the body of work isn't there to impress the idiots that ADs have to impress. let's just all chill...Hodge is back next year
