NT 57 ---------- Charlotte 48

8:30 to go

There have been so many review stoppages to look at the monitor tonight.  This game feels like it should be winding down, but we probably have another 25 minutes.

It’s been chippy as hell out here. Charlotte coach with the tech was wild

Never have I ever seen a coach start walking up to the player of the other team to trade words without a timeout having been called. That was crazy.

Random:

We have not had a 20ppg player in the Hodge/Grant eras.  Edwards averaged just over 19.  Roosevelt 19.5.

Thinking out loud: does having a player with exceptional offense (ppg/assists numberrs) help with attendance? I ask, wondering if (more) people gravitate towards single players they can look forward to rooting for.

What was our attendance like during Smart's best season?

Atin Wright going all Jesse Ratliff on Senior Night at the Super Pit. If you were there in 1994, you remember it…

Was that the year Smith hit his head on the court hard and had a seizure? Vaguely remember that time, but we were probably at the game. Lol.

That was Wes Allen who played from around 1998-2001.

Well Atin going off for 42 capped a fun home season at the Pit. Good crowds and energy in the building these last two games. That first half was a real slog with all the media timeouts and stoppages in play. Really felt clunky with no rhythm to be established. Number 1 for Charlotte really gave us problems anytime Mou wasn’t on the floor. Would have liked to see us rebound a bit better, but was impressed several times with our rim protecting defense - especially Lorient. Guy is just a great athlete.

Lets beat Temple and take care of business in Ft. Worth. See y’all down there next weekend!
