To perhaps generate some more interest and following in our softball program, here's what's going on around the 10-team softball league.

After we lose two of three in Wichita, we are in sixth place in the conference at 2-4 (but 19-9 overall). Even Memphis is ahead of us at 3-3... they won a game in Tulsa and took two of three from UTSA.

Finals from tonight:

We remain looking up at the two Florida schools in the standings, but UTSA shocked Charlotte on the road so that provides two games of breathing room between us and the fourth place 49ers.

No further help Saturday as the top three teams in the conference all collect sweeps. The winner of this weekend's final home series against South Florida will be in at least second place with a double bye going into the last weeked of the regular season.

Yep, hope they are able to find fan-friendly times to play three games. USF already has a tie with Wichita from a game that could not finish before USF's cut-off travel time.

Unbelievable - three of our four conference home series have been adjusted due to weather. Plus the UT Arlington tournament.
