our entire brand of basketball is ugly... we've made a living off it

I don't mean our pace and defensive minded approach. Our execution is sometimes very ugly. Horrific, actually.

Just cause Elon is bringing that term back doesn't mean we should embrace it. Many on here have kids with special needs... be a bit more sensitive and intelligent. When you say retarded I can only think that you suffer from that as well.

I circled this game when the season started. Deep in the season at home against a storied program from a mid major stand point. this is a good sweep of them this season, Idc if it’s a down season for them. I believe they have a good coach like we do, they will be a 20 win team again soon. We can do this in Fort Worth! Anything can happen man, we did ourselves wonders getting that double bye. This is March basketball. Buckle up and come loud and proud Thursday baby

Wow. This thread is pretty hard core. We have them right where we want them. Let's look at the score at half time and the final score.

You are one of our biggest fans, but that also means you are one of the most bi-polar. Tis North Texas Basketball.

WSU is a good team...top 4 in the conference. I have no idea what happened to them in January, but they've figured it out and are playing good basketball and it would be my strong preference not to have to play them in Ft. Worth.

Yes. Another gritty win tonight for our Mean Green! Props to WSU for a hard fought game. Was very impressed with their aggressiveness and physicality. Quality off ball movement. They made us earn this one. Should also note that they had a nice visiting fan contingent. Imagine what that would be like if they found their program form again. Really like being in a conference with them.

It won’t surprise me one bit if Wichita State is this year’s version of UAB from last season, winning the conference tournament. They are athletic and have started playing much better in these last few weeks.

I liked going to Lorient there at the end but maybe we should try running some sort of action to get him the ball a little deeper. He can score with a clear out like that but obviously his handle isn’t his strength.

We need John-John Massie back in a bad way. The 7-man rotation has us dragging on the defensive end as the game gets late.

I didn't see him in a boot today so maybe the staff is holding him until the tournament?

Real ESPN does a much better job of incorporating the crowd noise into the production.  On a + stream, you can barely hear the crowd.  It's almost like the announcers are in the Pit by themselves.

They had a crowd mic right in front of the ESPN broadcast pointed towards the NT bench. I'm not sure there is same for Plus broadcasts.

Best things to say about this are I don’t think anyone got injured, and we can hit outside shots. Lot of tentative ball handling, timid defense and bad shots taken, mainly due to getting into dead ends. Glad as always to see a win, but much different will be needed to get a conference tournament win.
Seemed like quite a few shocker fans made the trip.

Too much side to side not enough drives! We miss Massie badly

When is his return estimate?

We need him for the Tourney, but he needs a warm-up game too before then...

Sloppy game.  We gave them a lot of confidence for if we meet again next week.

14-1 at home this season. So proud of this team. Good atmosphere especially for that crowd size. I understand why Hodge benched Lorient with two fouls in the first half, but only 19 minutes for your best player just isn't nearly enough.

Shout out to Sparky (Dude Perfect) for giving me the last program on his table, signing it, and chatting about hoops. Nice dude.

Bell & Beverly were hitting some very tough/contested shots.  Props to those guys.  Mean Green made them work hard for every point.

Not sure why Beverly wasn’t on the floor much in the last 5 min or so (at least, he didn’t seem to be).  If he was, that could have turned out differently.

Latrell had a nice game & Atin was clutch.

I made one roadie this year and it was to Wichita. Saw almost the exact game twice. We roar out to a big lead and they scratch and claw back into the game.

Glad we beat them up there before they got hot. They are headed in the right direction and those bars around the arena were popping with shocker fans.

They will bring an even bigger crowd next year as they continue to rebuild. Good rivalry building .

Awesome win MG!

Beat Charlotte!

Where on the spectrum would you put  him? Oh of course I mean in terms of fandom…
