Are other team eyeing Coach Hodge?

They'd be dumb not to.  McCasland's positive trend at Tech only makes Ross's case stronger.  I don't know if locking him up is possible.  Regardless of any dollar amount we could realistically offer, I imagine a BXII offer would pry him away.  I could be wrong.  I guess just enjoy what we have while we have it.

What's his big win? Not a moral win staying close to Memphis, but legit good win?

He lost to a horrible UTSA team, lost OOC games to teams he should have beaten. Not sure any P4 schools are banging on the door right now for Hodge, until he has done something. Winning 20 games with this schedule and the AAC being down is good but not worthy of a promotion to a P4

If we extend him, just make sure he can be bought out in a few years if things turn the other way. That’s my answer. If you can’t/wont buy him out if needed, then don’t extend him.

11 and 3 in conferrence. You can only play the games on your schedulel.

unless he has some postseason success this year (conf tourney, 2 wins NIT or 1 win NCAA) i think he would naturally have one more 'prove-it' year at NT before he moves on

McCasland left after winning the NIT.  Unless he thinks he has maxed out on what he can accomplish here I think Hodge would wait until, at a minimum, getting us into the NCAA tournament and preferably winning at least one game. I think that like McCasland he would wait for the right job.

Our last coach won the CBI, NIT, a conference championship, and round one in the Dance. I don’t think we should settle for any less.

As things currently sit, he's not going anywhere. Still has things to prove unless a deeper pocketed program is just desperate.
