Penultimate home game for the ladies (20-7, 12-3).

Of the all-sport members, Charlotte is the institution our teams have the most trouble with. Since joining the AAC, we are 2-8-1 across all six sports against Charlotte. The 49er women and men are 11th and 13th this year, so hopefully we buck those trends.

You can get a ticket and a pink replica jersey for only $14:

UTSA beats Tulane tonight. Fifth place Tulane falls to 9-7 in conference play, and can only finish 11-7, meaning at 12-3, we have clinched a top four seed/double bye. We are 1.5 games ahead of fourth place Temple (11-5), and we own the tiebreaker. I want to stay in the 2-3 seed to get attendance-friendly start times at Dickies.

I hate games against terrible teams.  We win, but Charlotte is cheap.  Lots of fouls that were unnecessary and only serve to get people hurt.  Charlotte is losing because of the sorry attitude and style of their team.

I'm so glad our women have class.  And they never panic.

South Florida lost tonight, so we are tied for 2nd.

Get healthy for the tournament.

Go Mean Green.

Good promotion for the game. Not their best performance, but winning is what matters. This team is now tied for second with the 01-02 team for most wins in a season.  Congrats to Lampkin. She got a nice ovation in the second quarter.

It would be nice if the in game presentation could consistently coordinate the 'North Texas' chant better. Just a brutal sequence where they attempted the chant both before and after Hardaway's FTs with 44 seconds left in the game. The second attempt featured the in game noise (because that's what it sounded like) urging the fans to pay attention to the cheerleaders attempting in vain to lead the chant. It felt like a Three Stooges routine as much as anything else. Ugh.

Only one home game left this season! 2:00 P.M. this Saturday against UAB. GMG

I saw that from across the Pit. Do y'all know what was said or done??

Most conferences have little patience for fans screaming at the officials. Fans need to learn that.

Is there a noticeable difference in this between the college level and NBA level? Do refs at the professional level tolerate more (not just having higher patience, but this is a push from the league office?)

College has much less tolerance than Pros and you see that in all sports.

In tennis I take no tolerance from parents and Coaches in Junior Tournaments; College/ITA is more tolerance to a point. Pros get more leeway because of the prize money issue and the ways the Point Penalty System is setup at the ITF/ATP/WTA level.
