Watching this game and seeing the student turn out. Grant made the right decision. He had to beg our students to come to the Pit.

Agree! That, and a lot-o-moola.

So, you think it was just the money? That is part of it but the support of the program both financially and physically was just as big. He could have probably gotten more money somewhere else but his ties to TT and knowledge of the program were a big part of his decision. He can probably stay at Tech for the rest of his coaching career if he wants.

I think money had a lot to do with his decision.

If UNT had matched Tech's money offer, you think Grant would have stayed? I don't think so. He wanted to be at a power 4 school.

Lol.  It’s always about the 💵.

If another school offers an extra $mil a year,  he’s gone.

It'd be about the money if he left for somewhere else (sans Baylor), but I think the chance to compete in a power league was as big a reason as the cash for leaving NT. Most coaches dream about competing at the highest level with full gyms.

His wife is a Tech graduate. My brother went to the tech game on Saturday and saw students camping out for tickets for Mondays game.

What else is there to do in Lubbuttocks?
