Softball: 2/26 vs. # 12 TX Tech

On to the Baylor tournament....with games against Sam Houston and Baylor on Friday. Then Cal Baptist on Saturday.

Games 4 and 5 will be determined by how we do....as this tournament will have a championship game and a consolation game.

I was there. Some people were already leaving.

It was one of the most improbable comebacks in any sport that I have witnessed as a Mean Green fan. The Tech fans were shellshocked.

Not that I particularly remember softball games, but this has to best I have seen.

I don't think it's mentioned yet.....but we don't have a chance today.....if pitcher Annika Anderson didn't come in and shut things down. (1 earned run in 4 2/3 innings). And then the final frame was scoreless....pitched by Kayleigh Smith, who got the win.

Skylar unfortunately was back to the wild version, with too many walks. Anderson as you stated was great. Kayleigh Smith, who I haven't seen before looked strong in the seventh. If NT has three good pitchers, this should be an outstanding team.

I admit I was a bad fan. Got frustrated and stopped watching in the 4th inning.

I was following on meangreenstats.com but not as closely as early in the game. BUT, I was sitting staring at the screen when the score went from 5-2 to 6-5. Greatness since I am surrounded by Tech fans.

Did you hear on the broadcast that Tech's starting picture was paid 1 million Nil money a year, supposedly the highest reported for a softball player.

Adds joy to beating Tech, although if she had pitched the whole game; there would probably have been different results. They per announcers wanted to save her for a more important game (A&M). I would say that didn't work out for them.

Was the grand slam ninth or fifth? Assume the other play was the diving catch by the Tech right fielder.

Diving catch/double play was #9. Grand Slam was #5. Nice to see us and that other team featured twice.
