That’s fair, though I think your troll percentage is a little low🤣
I think I would speak for a lot of people when I say the “social, political, provocative” is a turnoff. Again, nothing to do with race. I used to be a huge U2 fan (and I still like their music), but Bono wore me out with his mostly political speeches during concerts. I haven’t had a desire to see them live in years. I don’t want politics, etc as part of my entertainment. I don’t find politics entertaining. I love music and I love sports, but I prefer that politics not be a part of either.
You say the negative response had nothing to do with his music, but rap/hip hop is certainly more a part of the black community than the white community, so I wouldn’t think it would be surprising to see white folks say it sucked. Country music is more a part of the white community, so I would expect a large percentage of the black community to think, let’s say, Blake Shelton performing at halftime would suck. Neither is racist as most whites would feel the same about Post Malone and most blacks would feel the same about Darius Rucker.
Kind of strange results, lost bad to the worst team in the tournament than won all the rest.
Lots of new freshman pitchers, this would be a much easier season if one would develop into a good option on the mound.
This crew has done several of our games and they always gush over our defense. I love it.
Overall, not a pretty win, but it's a win. We need to figure out our offense outside of B Lo and Wright or we are going to get knocked out of the first game in the tournament.
It’s really, then, a statement about the BOR, President, and administration being apathetic…because it’s obvious that if they weren’t, the marketing and promotion would be better, the incentives to get better attendance would be shown via salary or bonuses to the AD and head basketball coaches.
I’ve said this forever it seems, but you cannot want to win more than the people in charge of the program. Because they will always let you down while you’re thinking bigger and better than they do about the program.
we're gonna get every one's best shot in conference, and especially road games are always gonna be a challenge.
interestingly, I think it was our efficiency in out-of-timeout sets that won this game...somehow we can draw up successful one-off plays, but can't turn those into 3-option offensive sets. maybe that's the next step in Hodge's development.
