That's the only time I've ever turned the Super Bowl off before it ended in my life.  Didn't make it through the 3rd quarter.  At no point did it ever feel like KC was in the game.  Seattle / Denver 11 years ago, then maybe San Fran / Denver and Washington / Denver from the Elway days were like that?  Not old enough to remember seeing the Bears destroying the Pats.  It was bottom 5 all-time.  Maybe a Prince or MJ performance, but not Kendrick Lamar.

I knew you would play the race card.  It's your M.O.  The sound sucked and he appeals to a specific age demographic. Has nothing to do with his race.

I would prefer someone more widely liked or from New Orleans to show off their culture.  Have Trombone Shorty or someone like that represent NOLA.

the game was trash.

Prince is still the benchmark for halftime performances and will likely never be surpassed. And in terms of star power and entertainment value, the Dre/Snoop/MJB/Eminem/50/KDot performance from a few years ago probably has this covered…

but in terms of artistic authenticity, messaging…not to mention 80,000 singing along on a Grammy winning diss track…this was more culturally significant.

just a very specific, narrow shade of white.

“More widely liked”???

Kendrick has 22 Grammy’s, including 5 this year, and a Pulitzer Prize Multiple songs with over a billion streams on Spotify and the hit song of the summer.

What Trombone Shorty song is your favorite? Think an entire stadium would sing the chorus?

I don’t need to play a race card… it’s always already in play. Thanks for being exactly who “Uncle Sam” was talking to.
