The fan/we just wanted him to get off the court, I'm surprised how much leniency the refs gave him with that all afternoon. The one time Hodge gets pissed at a call going into a timeout, the refs are quick to restrain him.

I would have paid good money to see that. Sadly I had to work today. These last 3 homes games should be fun. I hope we can keep packing the pit and stackin dubs. See yall on the 19th after we dispose of Rice on Tuesday 🫡

The second events is not true.  I was standing right there when one of our red-heading, scruffy beard, snagged toothed fans yelled at the coach saying “you F-ing suck, get off our court”. Right in his face. That is when there coach stopped and went towards him.  I would have helped the coach toss this stupid asshole if security hadn’t stepped in.  That was embarrassing from a fan standpoint.  I actually apologized to the coach for that behavior.  He should be booted from the Pit. His buddy standing next to and yelling as well was holding a toddler.  Total class-less in my opinion.

This is a lie. As the one who yelled at Ron Hunter I can promise you I am not a red head. I also never cursed at Ron. I said “Ron you need to sit down during games” as this was due to him standing with both feet fully on the court all game and the refs not saying anything. I never once cussed at him. He got super pissed and told me I need to “keep my ass in my seat” and wanted to come up and fight. It was classless behavior by a coach of an AAC team would should handle himself better. I’ll be in the same spot next game so maybe come introduce yourself instead of spreading false information.

Easy, cowboy. This is a part of frustrating opponents and having a daunting home environment. Our fan doing this, or his version of the story, should've had 1000 more of our fans helping him. If the officials aren't going to call the rules of the game it's unfortunately up to the fans to loudly help them along.

If you were the one on the front row by the steps down to the court, you definitely cussed at the coach.  I was standing on the floor right in front of you.  The person I saw and heard definitely yelled inappropriate things directly at the coach.  Don’t know if it was you or not, but I saw and heard what I did.  It was inappropriate and classless behavior.  I am at every game I can, and will definitely introduce myself to you.  The guy next to you, or the person I heard was screaming while holding a toddler. Really.

I have no problem yelling and supporting our team, but when their coach is leaving the court….walking by the railing at the end of the court, and some idiot leans over the rail and yells “you F-ing suck”.  That is wrong.  I was on the floor right where it happened.  Classless!!!

I agree on being friends, but fear all will be forgotten in 48 hours, which will prompt them to do it again.  This was after the game. No reason to do this.

Nobody yelled that, at least not from our group next to the stairs. I was the one who Ron came back yelling at and I know exactly what I said. I didn’t curse at him. You can believe what you want to believe you heard all you want, but he didn’t get cussed out. He is soft, period, end of story. If I had cussed him security would have escorted me out, which they didn’t do. I stuck around and high fives the players before leaving 👍

I'm in favor of both. I think there is an appropriate way to get into the mind of the opponent and that should always be attempted.

I don’t mind being friendly either but you’re on here calling me classless, and a stupid a hole. I frankly don’t appreciate it. Again I’ll be there next game, and I’ll be respectful to you or anyone else who wants to talk about it but it’s pretty careless to come on here calling people stupid a hole when you don’t even know what was said or what occurred. That’s my two cents

Also, Ron Hunter is a crybaby, emotional, an antic coach and does whine and get offended rather easily. So, there's that.

      We should not be focusing on parenting skills in a basketball forum. The only classless fans are the ones who don’t show up. The Pit should be hostile and not a family environment.

      Part of the issue of the games being so boring are the style we play. You should just sit down young boy so that some of old people who actually pay taxes can watch the game in peace. I don’t like all the standing and yelling of obscenities. This isn’t a City Council meeting.

      You're all wrong about why Ron Hunter was upset. I was there and heard it all clear as day. Ron was coaching his team when he caught something in the corner of his eye. "A Rugaru," he shouted in a panick. An assistant came over and asked him, "where, where?" "Right there! It was right there! I swear!" "Coach, it's just a couple students," said the assistant while pointing at two well put together students clad in their favorite North Texas attire. Security came over and asked what the commotion was about to which Ron insisted he had seen a Rugaru. Confused, the security guard went and got one of UNT PD's finest who determined there was no Rugaru, just a couple of students enjoying the game. The officer and security had the students return to their seats and told Ron there was no Rugaru in Denton, America. Frazzled, Ron redirected his attention to the game. I wasn't sure what had happened until today, reading this thread. Now it all makes sense. Saying he was also there, making up claims of what was said, and giving descriptions of red-headed people who weren't there. Maybe Ron was right. Maybe the Rugaru was in fact at the Pit yesterday. Maybe MeanGreen_MBA is the Rugaru.
