Our guards just aren’t playmakers. Seems like they easily get cut off and are stuck in bad situations. There’s a lack of purpose to their motion without the ball. At least run a simple pick and roll

Hate that we gave up the lead. Although we are playing more our pace than what transpired in the first half of the meeting in Denton.

Our guys are obviously not very confident on offense. Is that the result of playing such a slow pace? We get so few possessions - does that put too much pressure on the team to overthink every shot opportunity they get?

I’ve often thought we pass ip good shots in search of great shots…and often end up with rushed shots

I think it's definitely something Ross should think about. We have one confident shooter in the starting lineup. That is not good.

I love our intentional pace, but we just don't have the offensive talent to play out 25 seconds of a shot clock every trip like past years...if there's any kinda break chance I think we need to be taking it

My complaint about our guard play, and it isn’t just this year, is that we dribble into pressure when a quick pass or one less dribble and pulling up for an open shot would be preferable. We seem to get ourselves into these predicaments on our own and not the result of the opponent.

This game, hit our free throws, play good team defense and make our shots at the rim and we win by 10+.

It's not the pace. It's the lack of sets. Our guards are constantly in no man's land under 10 to shoot. Drive to kick - dump - draw. That doesn't require a set even being ran. Pretty frustrating. It's been frustrating, but we had been sort of getting by with it.

Great and simple way of putting it. I often wonder if we're even passing on good shots just for the sake of slowing pace. It's illogical at times.

Lorient gets hacked on that last shot and no call. One of many by UAB. We nudge them and get a whistle. Hodge needs to get in the refs ear.

This last foul on Lorient is a perfect example of that. Lorient goes straight up, Lendeborg hits him in the air and gets the call? How tf are you supposed to defend in this game?

We have one sitting on the bench that was a pretty good scorer in HS. Too bad he’s superglued to the bench.

holy shit everyone needs to get over the fact that we play 8. every single college team in the country has a dude who could put up 30 in HS sitting on their bench.

I’d take him over Massey any day.
