I would say the folks that walk into the Super Pit, or don’t.

If our fan base is so fickle that a game like tonight, in the midst of what this team has done this year and this program has done for the past almost decade, can make people stay home…then we don’t have North Texas basketball fans, we have bandwagoners.

Everything you said is true

I understand that Coach likes a tight 8 man rotation.

But when you have that first half scoring lull....and you don't throw anybody different into the mix....especially Tyrann Mason.....that I don't get.

I don’t either.

.….As a senior he led all DFW Area boys basketball in scoring average (25.3 ppg)...As a senior he averaged 25.3 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game and 1.4 assists per game...Set the Plano HS single-season scoring average record his senior season (25.3 ppg….

Apparently getting to the “TEAM CANT HIT THE BROAD SIDE OF A BARN WITH A HANDFULL OF RICE”   level isn’t enough to see if he could get it started?

You mean the one one the road? Where We sucked? Before T-Mitch played and he was in the stands and walked out? Off by a few years if so.

Nah this was pre T-Mitch as I was in grad school so think fall of 2009 when they were still playing on the stage. We were coming in hot - difference there was UTA was scoring a lot - something like 40 something to single digits in the first half.

Everyone has bad losses throughout the season. Sucks it had to be UTSA, who is not a good team, in front of our biggest crowd. But while some find it easy to say "just like UNT" to shit the bed in front of a good crowd, again, I remind you this is probably the first loss for basketball in front of a big crowd since the 2022 NIT game against Virginia.

We're still a combined 21-2 at The Pit this year. But it makes me sick those two losses are against SMU and UTSA. I don't care how bad UTSA is, they should be a game that is circled on our calendar each year as a must-win.

Oddly enough (this surprised me).....we had a slightly bigger crowd at the Pit.....when we lost to UTSA last season.

I didn't realize it. I definitely give today's crowd credit for staying in the game. Mou made the first shot of the second half and it felt like everyone was in it and believed in the comeback.

Score only 13 points in a half, I leave at halftime. Glad I did.

So, I assume that you missed Chuck a Duck as well and walked out on our support for the American Cancer Society.

As for me, I still believe that we have a chance to win the National Championship until those hopes are dashed by an unexpected and untimely loss and in addition, I support Cancer Research and believe it will be cured someday until proved otherwise.

I guess I had no idea what was at stake!  Really it was just that I was vomited out of the arena by the bad feelings from watching our team act like they were playing the Washington Generals.

Awful loss.  No question about it.

With that said, did anyone really believe they were going to win out ?   They are 16-5, which is pretty damn good.

My worst fear would have been winning out, getting another NET ranking of 38 and then getting snubbed by the NCAA again.  Now we know that winning the conference tourney is the most important thing.  And, this team is definitely capable of doing that.

I just wish this loss would have come on the road against a better team.

Things that get old:

Losing to UTSA in everything that I care about

Losing in front of big crowds to in state schools

At least you have grown accustomed to losing to SMU which should make the other items easier to handle.

Losing to UTSA at home is an atrocious loss for UNT. This team could have maybe cracked the top 25 and now UNT has to win the AAC to get into the NCAA tourny.

Up here in KY, when UK loses games like this there is hell to pay for the head coach. And I mean hell. Losing at basketball isn't tolerated here and NT should take the same stance. We have tolerated losing for too long.

I don't accept this loss. Inexcusable to lose to a 9-11 team at home on a Saturday night. Just ridiculous.

I wasn't betting on us to win out, but losses at UAB and MAYBE Temple were the only ones I would excuse.
