To me it is showing NIL is the most important item in attracting players and winning. Coaching is down the food chain.

There is no guaranteed formula that "x" NIL $ = "y" wins.

Plenty of NIL-aplenty programs had marginal or losing seasons.

Wisconsin 5-7, Mich St. 5-7, UCLA 5-7, Okla St. 3-9, OU 6-7, Kentucky 4-8, etc.

These Brands have a LOT of NIL to spend.

You work with what you've got. Otherwise it's crickets during offseason

I disagree. Where does their NIL compare to their conference? I would guess all would be bottom quarter. SMU is the example of NIL success not great coaching.

I haven't looked, and I really don't care, but I doubt OU and Wisconsin are in the bottom half in NIL in their conference.  Same for Florida State.  Sometimes poor record is the result of other factors like poor coaching or scheme, injury to key players, upset by opponent, etc.

Florida State had a massive $12 million NIL budget for the teams that went 2-10 last season and went undefeated the year before.

NIL is not a guarantee of success. You can still suck if you pay the wrong players. I went to a few FSU games last season and that offense was brutal. They had games where they ran the ball 25 times and gained 24 yards.

Absolutely!  I sense there may start to a be a fatigue from donors on paying all this money for minimal results.
