No way Temple should be as high as #77 in Football value.

They rent a Pro football stadium away from campus for $4.6MM in 2023.

The average home attendance for the Temple Owls football team in 2023 was 13,446.

It's a bullshit perception ranking. What does it even mean? Where is this value they speak of? Is it traded publicly? Can it be publicly owned like the Packers? We just try to monetize everything because we're obsessed with it. Everything has to have a pecking order, even fake financial figures.

How could our football program be valued at $45 mil when DATCU Stadium cost $78 mil to build ?

Because it’s not paid off and won’t be for quite some time.

OK.  Then how could UTSA be valued at $600mil and not even own a stadium ?

…or an indoor football practice facility.

The difference in $62 million and $45 million is likely explained on perpetual monies coming in from HEB and other corporate donations that support San Antonio's only football team. A team that wins. Lots of value there, I think.

This.

UTSA has a large corporate base to get $$$ from, as well as San Antonio’s citizenry, which takes pride in their city, much like Ft. Worth.

In Denton, Peterbilt won’t sponsor anything athletic at UNT because of TWU’s hurt feelings of unfairness…this doesn’t even take into account the city’s view of UNT athletics, which is obviously much different than SA’s view of UTSA’s athletics.

It is what it is.

I'm also assuming we operate at a pretty significant deficit
