The blue hair women’s studies majors who go to our school will never be college basketball fans.

That's funny cause i dyed my hair blue for a time while attending UNT football and basketball games.

I am a proud Delta Sig, 1980 graduate and I ran into two of our actives at the game Wednesday and they were pumped up and stated that there were more actives at the game. It is an untapped potential, not sure why it is not being worked. There should be a challenge among the various fraternities and sororities to see who can get the most members to a game and which one is the loudest.  Same could be done with the various dorms.  In the middle/late 1970s we had the Super Pit rocking, and only a total enrollment of 17,000 students.

That is a fair question about our president. I have no idea what he believes about athletics. There was no question with Dr. Smastrek from the jump. It’s beyond time having heard specifics from our new leader.

If I’ve missed it my bad but we really deserve more communication in this critical ever changing sports landscape.

FWIW, the do usually do a "Greek" night once a year. Only so many times you can really pull that string.

Also, don't discount the blue haired "nerds" of UNT. More of them show up to these games than Greek life does.

It shouldn’t be a “once a year” thing with the Greeks. Those students are looking for a reason to socialize and party and there is a built-in opportunity about 15 times a year via men’s basketball games.
It should be a part of the Greek culture just like it is at Baylor and Texas Tech and all the other school’s with athletic support that we aspire to.
We have the basketball team and the Greek numbers to pull it off too. I saw Sig Ep there. Who will be there Sunday?
