DENTON - Several standout performances and a new Pohl Recreation Center pool record helped lead the UNT swim and dive team to a victory over Big 12 foe Iowa State on Saturday afternoon.

The Mean Green notched a 165-135 win over the Cyclones, as UNT stole the momentum right from the beginning as the day's first event saw a pool record fall after the 200 medley relay team of Diana Kolb, Mikaela Goelst, Samantha Robles and Shaena McCloud broke the facility record with a time of 1:44.59. Goelst also won an individual race with a victory in the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.77.
