This will test the boundaries of contracts, and NCAA transfer rules.   What's the point of a Portal if the NCAA says kids can also do this and compete?    Kids want the $$ but not the binding contracts...

“NCAA rules do not prevent a student-athlete from unenrolling from an institution, enrolling at a new institution and competing immediately,” an NCAA spokesperson said in a statement.

"Schools are signing players to multi-year deals as a way to secure talent for multiple seasons, stabilize the sport and limit athlete movement, currently at an all-time high."
