I assume it was posted when we were 5-1 in football.

I hope it doesn’t have a similar effect on the basketball team.

Hmm, this is a serious consideration.

New question:

Is this possibly the worst UNT BBall team ever?   I mean, we average 58.8 PPG, which is DEAD LAST in the AAC.  How can we ever expect to win anything??

That team that beat Purdue in the first round of the NCAA Tournament might get some consideration here.

Yes, and there were whispers that the season before - the one that didn't get to go to a postseason - had a Mean Green team that was even better.

In 1975-76 we were 22-4.

Wins over Baylor, Creighton, Arizona St, $mu, Va Commonwealth, and Bradley, but we were Independent and got no post season invite.

Being almost as old as dirt, no this team is not the best in NT history.

NT didn't win the MVC, but those Joe Hamilton, Leroy Winfield led teams were way ahead of where NT currently is.

A battle between the current teams and the high offense Blakeley teams would be interesting.

My thoughts are that NT current teams play great basketball, but are far behind some past teams in the talent levels.  That is a huge factor that demonstrates how good this coaching staff is.
