Come on Peterbilt! Come on Buc-ee's! Come on Target! Come on Winco! Come on Frenchy's!

Other than Peterbilt, there isn't another major corporation located in Denton. We need a Fed Ex type corporate HQ here to help us out. Are there no business leaders or politicians in Denton to pull this off?

I really DO NOT like the endzone rendering.

It looks like a lot of wasted space (roof) that could be used for some great elevated seating.

It also replaces a large central videoboard with a wimpy one in the corner?

Let's try another design!

Agree, I've never liked the design they've shown for this side. It looks like a portable you add on to schools. Louisiana Tech did it right for $22M.

On another note wasn't construction supposed to start at the end of this last FB season?

Also from the site:

The project is going to occur in phases. Phase 1 design work has begun and will extend through 2025, with a goal to begin construction in late 2025. Phase 2 would follow the completion of Phase 1 and by way of a successful Phase 2 campaign.

So are these renderings not the final design?

Under the cost section

As we work through the design and pre-construction process for Phase 1, an MGSF development officer would be happy to answer questions regarding the project investment for you.

How is there not a set cost already? I'm really not trying to bash the department, but this just seems very typical of the things we complain about. No clear and defined data or communication of that data, lack of organization and planning. I can't be the only one who thinks this right?

One of the biggest , if not the biggest, is the apartment complex bulding companies in Denton Co. They are building cheap apartments instead of building houses. Get the apartment owners and residents into the UNT venues.

Your are right!  And they keep building more and more!  I keep wondering how will they have that many people to move in there.  Also they are bare bones in terms of construction finish.  Sad that the city allows this.

I am. Haven't seen anything to indicate Mosley is anywhere close on this. The fact that it's separated out into two phases on lightthetower, and the FAQ is basically warning that just because phase 1 is done doesn't mean phase 2 will start immediately after gives me very little confidence in this AD.

Agree, and by the wording they still need to finalize the design? IIRC the splitting into 2 phases is a recent development. Originally this was supposed to be done in 1 go. I can only guess that they haven't been able to raise the funds, or that delaying caused construction prices to go up. This project has been in limbo for 6 or 7 years now?

I'd like to hear anyone else say if they've heard that construction was scheduled to start at the end of the FB season or am I crazy?

I could live with this if there were seats all the way down to the field.

At least the priority is right. Get the wt room and rehab area done now!. I feel like you get rid of the score board and you have a better looking facade than this look. I would add the new wt room and rehab on the east side of IPF having it  attached to the practice facility. They are showing that are keeping the old wt room, based off naming rights. I would close it down and add for additional sq ft. at the facility. I know there have been gripes about wts being dropped and hearing it though out the building. It is a nice looking building.

Agreed.  Looks cheap and half-assed.  Seems weird, but sometimes an end-zone complex can make or break the overall feel of a stadium.  This one breaks it.  I always thought the original placement of the athletic center in relation to the stadium was odd and was going to be problematic for any meaningful improvement.  Maybe the architects were given instructions to keep the windows (AD/Coaches offices?) with a view of the field?

If this is it, I'd just leave it the way it is until it can be done right/better.

Where would you place the scoreboard if you remove it from there?

My question is why can't we do a smaller version of what Ok. St. did? Emphasis on the smaller here.

Why is there  a large gap underneath the expansion in the 2nd phase renderings? The expansion just hangs in the air over nothing. There is a lot of valuable space to the sides, underneath, and vertically that you could take advantage of.
