Partial footage of the 1975 football game between North Texas State University and University of Houston at Texas Stadium, shot for coaching purposes.

The game was held on October 11th, 1975 and the final score was 28-0, North Texas.

The fact you had to go back 50 years even though we have played several times since and as recently as 2019 sums up UNT football in a nutshell.

Didn't seem to be a problem for your FB team. 😛

Football was definitely set up for better year one success coming off an 11 win season and a conference title.  Basketball has a new coaching staff and a roster that needed overhauling.  Early returns are very positive.  13-4 record and currently sitting inside the Top 50 in Live RPI and NET.  Depending on how things go for the rest of the regular season there is a very good chance of an at-large bid for SMU but likely depends on how many ACC schools get in.

It's a shame this site doesn't have full block capabilities so weirdos can't tag you in posts too.

@Coffee and TV what the heck?  Cougar King is out for blood and trolling here but I'm not!

the facilities look great.

Unfortunately, unless things change around Denton quickly, the reality is that SMU is playing a completely different game than the Mean Green, good luck to you, but i don't know why you are coming on here to post topics of a team you probably won't play again for a long time... (maybe basketball)

Good luck to you.

I wouldn't necessarily say that we won't play UNT again in football.  SMU has played UNT a ton throughout its history.  Far more than any other regional schools in the P4.

That said, I doubt we will ever play in Denton again.

Yes, your chauffeurs had trouble finding how to get to Denton as only about 20 fans showed up to the last game here.

If I were UNT, I'd never play yall ever again...we give yall exactly what you want. Thousands of fans to buy tickets at your game, an easy win for you, and all the DFW media sees us get our asses kicked by a team they know about and care about.

But we won't. Yall will call and we will drop everything to go down there for the booty call.

Then I doubt we ever play you all again, so you can move along.

Trying to figure out this guy's uniform.  Looks like he's wearing gym shorts over leggings.

Well...that makes more sense.  At first I had a hard time making out the strips down the side of the legs, but you can see it in some other shots.
