This is ridiculous. Chandler Rogers had two carries for Southern Miss in 2019, spent two seasons at ULM, one year at North Texas then a year at Cal. How is he still eligible?

This is taking away opportunities from other deserving players. If the NCAA loses every lawsuit, why doesn’t some overlooked high school recruit sue over the NCAA’s failure to enforce eligibility rules? Let’s clear out these guys who are sticking around college football forever.

Chandler Rogers has had his college career. Move on and give a real college student an opportunity.

Oh.. You haven't heard. The NCAA is on the cusp of passing a new rule that 5 full years of playing eligibility will now be the norm. No one is at the wheel of this thing.

For sure. Rogers’ JUCO year was the 2020 season that already didn’t count towards his eligibility to begin with. The intent with that eligibility freeze that year was to make sure everyone had 5 years to play 4 not counting 2020. Not to make sure everyone had 6 years to play 5. He got his 5 non-Covid seasons at the FBS level.

Agreed. Move on and save that scholarship for an actual 18-year old.

Also Rogers went to JUCO and until the case is heard, JUCO years don't count against eligibility

I generally share this sentiment but it was actually new news this time.

And you haven't moved on from UNT rejecting your admissions application 35 years ago, yet they still let you post.

I haven't even been alive for 35 years lmao.

That’s just unfair.  He did get into UNT…he just failed out and had to go to a backup school.

Sadly, with the way transfers & the Portal work unregulated, we could see day day when failing out of the university won't actually effect a player's eligibility with their team. We could be just one lawsuit away from it. College football is such a train wreck.

You're talking to people who haven't moved on from SMU maybe kinda sorta dissing them 50 years ago when NTSU allegedly got rejected from the SWC.

Are you REALLY lecturing anyone on "moving on"?
