You know they are sharing this.  Hell, the Mean Green Club was promised quarterly meetings for the past decade.

As expected. People want to join a movement. If there's no signs of progress, you're going to have a hard time cultivating new donors.

Meanwhile,

Transparency.

Very valid point, have you reached out to Mosely and asked these same questions?  Who is in charge? How much is in the kitty?  Do we have any group raising money just for certain positions?  I do not think any collective actually states what they are paying the players.  I do not believe Mosely has anything to do with running our collectives.  I am pretty sure that both are run by the major donors.  I am willing to bet that someone within the Tech Athletic Department works closely with their collective and runs their social media.

I too wish that our collectives were more transparent with what they have raised.

Have I reached out to Mosley, the answer is no. I don't want to reach out to a school rep themselves because I'm not sure where that line is between the school and the collective under current rules. Logically, he could just point me in the right direction so I may reach out via Twitter.

I'm not necessarily asking numbers about how much everybody is getting. Just some numbers that show the bank's status and projections off current recurring donations. A simple hey, we have 1000 monthly subscribers donating as little as $1 to as much as $100 on a monthly basis. No different than any major company releasing quarterly reports so their investors know what their investment's financial health looks like.

Given the history of financial support this program receives to the MGC/MGSF, I would assume the answer you seek is “not many donors donating not that much.”

The worst thing they did was end the Mean Green Club.   Now it's little to no communication or insight on what's happening and pass the collection plate to buy a player for 10 months that will just leave before the Bowl game.

I know what you’re getting at and you’re right about the need for transparency.

Just know that it’s much easier for a place like Tech to show what we don’t because they have a ton of money compared to us. They have TV money, they have Big 12 money, they have oil money, they have West Texas money, and they have no competition for eyeballs in Lubbock. We have none of it—basically the exact opposite situation.

Excuses are getting old. I used to tell my staff, “don’t tell why you cannot do something, tell me how you are going to do it and what I can do to help”.  I do not believe anyone is “working it” a little creative thinking and hard work will go a long way!

Understood. I'm sure stuff can be done on a smaller scale for us while we build up. Some of this stuff like transparency costs nothing. I've mentioned before having a live count of subscribers posted on the Light the Tower website. Doubt that would be hard to do... just brainstorming. Those in charge should be brainstorming but it seems they're just sitting on their hands.

You are being redundant. Big12 Money = TV money. Oil money = West Texas money. Yet, you are right. We have neither. They also have a niche. TT is the premiere university in a very vast area. It also helps their cause that most people that have collegiate aspirations chooses TT as their primary university destination by choice within said area. I think more than anything, they are a true "strength by numbers" university/athletic department.

Sorry, but I've grown tired of this.  Our AD doesn't even try.  The university kills events that bring them and the town together, Homecoming Parade for instance, and shoots out form letter replies when asked about it.  I got two "eyerolls" for my suggestions for Retro Night.  Anybody attend last night's game vs. Rice?  What was retro about it?  Was that even mentioned?  They don't try.  That's what pisses me off.

I didn't notice any fans on the TV broadcast wearing the T-shirt handout.  I saw one 12-year-old with a bright green Flying Worm sweatshirt on...it looked great by the way!   Nothing else retro noticeable or discussed on the broadcast...other than how the Super Pit got it's name and the Snake Pit got it's name.

The AD, most staff, admin, coaches, etc are not NT alum nor attached to it other than for the paycheck and job.  Fans are here because of support for the school or team, not the paying job.  Fans have been around long enough to see effort or lack of effort.

We have the volume, just nobody cultivating those relationships. Seems Denton proper feels little to no ownership in the university even though it's a large driver of the local economy. As @UNTLiferccommented, things like the homecoming parade have disappeared. They've made every move necessary to make the school and the city separate entities.

Agree with this.  Denton has never embraced UNT as "it's" school to support with the town.

So pull, dare I say it, a SMU and just start saying "UNT, Denton's University" locally.  Force Denton's hand.

It would be extremely stupid to publicize exactly how much each player is paid.  That would only highlight exactly what other teams needed to "Pony" up to steal our players away.  It would also cause tremendous chaos in the locker room.  UNT cannot afford at this time to pay every player on the roster a flat salary like UT and SMU does.  Everything is not a conspiracy against the fans.   If you are too cheap to help out the program on NIL then so be it.  Stop using it as an excuse on why why you refuse to financially support the program.

Exactly.  There was nothing retro about it.  How about throwback uni's like they do for football?  I had a list of ideas in another thread.

Speaking of how the Snake Pit got it's name, they were wrong.
