We have literally hired a worse version of Seth Littrell. Why did Jared Mosley make this decision? Further, why is our athletic complex not already expanded? Why are our best players leaving in droves. Jared Mosley best start learning how to be the athletic director a small budget university or Jared Mosley needs to beat his feet.

This place kept RV for over 16 years as the AD. After he hired Todd Dodge…after he hired Shanice Stephens…after he hired Tony Benford. But man, he stayed in budget really well.

What needs to happen is recruiting the biggest and most physical kids we possibly can. Run the damn ball and play defense. We also need to strip away 500k-1M of the football budget and allocate it to basketball. If we re-read that we will see that nowhere in there does it say to disband football.

We agree strongly on all of that…

I know we are all frustrated and this wait for next year shit gets old, but the team is improving albeit not as fast as we would like but it is improving and there is hope for the future but it is time to step up and if EM cannot produce next year then it will be time to move on.  I would say 8 wins is the floor!

I love “fans” that are silent a majority of the time and then show up with all the answers when things go wrong. Too predictable.

WHEN things go wrong? Dude, I could throw darts at the years of UNT football in FBS and open up the page and assume it's going wrong. It's ALWAYS going wrong with UNT football. That's the major problem.

Seth would have won this game!

How long did it take OU to throw seth under the bus? He was never the answer,  just a building block. Unfortunately, we replaced him with an identical one who speaks better

Seth would have been more worried about golf and lost by twice as much.

Twice as much is only losing by 4. Seth would have lost this game by 20+. Not a single doubt in my mind.

One thing I do find frustrating is how both UTSA and Texas State have now surpassed us. Texas state has been in FBS for 2 years, UTSA has had a program for like 10 years. It’ll only be a matter of time before Sam Houston figures it out (We also just took half of their defense and that’s probably going to be an improvement). I’m sure some will also say this doesn’t count because we were missing a lot of players but our depth should still beat their starters with how long we’ve been FBS.
Maybe it’s because UNT is associated with losing added with both of those programs being newer and having more immediate success.

Most likely culprit is transfer portal and NIL also helped them have immediate success. I’m sure Morris is building something but a couple more failed coaches and we either need to move down to FCS or double our giving in NIL.
(and I hate both of those options)

Proud of the guys for going out there and giving it their all though.

Jared is the right AD for this university.  Eric is a great young coach.  Only gap is defense which hopefully we have addressed.

Current big donors on here can complain as the remaining big problem is $$$$ and fan apathy.

No.  I don't know why people think what happens at a single point in time expresses a permanent state.  They beat us by two points in one game we had to play with a hand tied behind our back.  Overall, we still have advantages they would love to have.

Jumped over Mike Peterson from Stephens to Benford when he was the worst??

“Hand tied behind our back”?

I assume you mean some of our players transferring out?

… I guess we were watching 2 teams during it out with a hand tied behind their backs.   They were hit by transfers as well.  Our 1-handed team just wasn’t as good as their 1-handed team though.
