I heard Caponi got on his knees and begged.

If Caponi was the least bit self aware and considerate of his friend, he wouldn’t have done that.  If you put in 2 years of historically bad performance on your job it isn’t cool to beg your friend to keep your job and putting his career in jeopardy if he saves you.  If I were looking for a defensive assistant verification of this story would be imperative before I hire him.  Even if I like the 3-3-5 and Caponi’s version of it (when he has the right athletes) I would NOT hire a dude that put upon his friend like this.

He might end up being successful here but firing a second year DC who had one of the worst (if not the absolute worst) FBS defenses has nothing to do with it.
So yes, it is just you. 😂

His first season was a throw away season, he came in late with virtually no recruiting and no help from the portal.  He came in to 24 with a full year of recruiting, and had quite a few successes in the portal on the offensive side of the ball, but struggled on the defensive side.  Heading into 25 things are looking promising, I think the new DC has been able to draw some players in.

I think Morris is a great play caller, but not a head coach. Game management has been terrible the last two years. Going for it so many times on fourth down and not getting it and putting our defense in bad situations. And clock management and using timeouts. It’s hard being a head coach and a play caller. You get lost in the moment and don’t do what’s best for the team when you are just worried about the offense.

EM needs to be less Joey McGuire kamikazee and more deliberate Traylor intentional.

My hope is that he is able to pull a miracle identification of a QB to play on Friday. Play it smart, raise the defense, keep us in the game and let’s not get blown out In Ford again.

It’s time for the Mean Green to win and bring joy back to the hilltop.

I think this post is the opposite end of the EM spectrum compared to guys who want him fired lol. I think he falls in the middle. He’s a fine coach. Nothing special. Kinda been dealt a shitty hand now with NIL destroying the roster every season. Is there better out there? For sure. Is there worse out there? Ya, there’s much worse lol. Maybe just Seth Littrell Jr

In 6 seasons as a head coach he’s had two winning seasons.  He’s 35-31 over those 6 seasons with one of them (10-3) contributing almost a third of his wins.
