I heard Caponi got on his knees and begged.

If Caponi was the least bit self aware and considerate of his friend, he wouldn’t have done that.  If you put in 2 years of historically bad performance on your job it isn’t cool to beg your friend to keep your job and putting his career in jeopardy if he saves you.  If I were looking for a defensive assistant verification of this story would be imperative before I hire him.  Even if I like the 3-3-5 and Caponi’s version of it (when he has the right athletes) I would NOT hire a dude that put upon his friend like this.

So yes, it is just you. 😂

Well, I do think Eric Morris is a winner, and I have confidence in him for the future of NT football. A young coach that understands young men and places an exciting brand of football on the field might just work if Coach Morris can improve our defense.

NT had some close losses to some good football programs this year and he only really crapped the bed against Texas Tech.

Coach Morris has my official support.

His first season was a throw away season, he came in late with virtually no recruiting and no help from the portal.  He came in to 24 with a full year of recruiting, and had quite a few successes in the portal on the offensive side of the ball, but struggled on the defensive side.  Heading into 25 things are looking promising, I think the new DC has been able to draw some players in.

I think Morris is a great play caller, but not a head coach. Game management has been terrible the last two years. Going for it so many times on fourth down and not getting it and putting our defense in bad situations. And clock management and using timeouts. It’s hard being a head coach and a play caller. You get lost in the moment and don’t do what’s best for the team when you are just worried about the offense.
