 We return to action with a game against a Sunbelt foe (though not one that was in the league during our stay).  Hope to start a win streak as the year winds down.

To be fair, I watched the Duke game a few days ago and their normal student section even had middle aged folks in it.  Holidays even affect the Cameron Crazies I guess.

 

(The older crowd wasn't as spirited, but they still stood and participated in all their normal chants)

App State is 6-5.  On the App State fan forum they were lamenting losing to ULL (3-9) by 6 points on Wednesday night before coming to Denton. 

It was their first Sun Belt Conference game for both teams.  ULL, opened up a 23-5 lead, but App St. closed in the second half.  They missed a lot of 3-pointers (4/18) and free throws (18/29).  

To rub salt in the wound, ULL fired their coach of 15 years after the win, Bob Marlin....

Atin Wright is 3-3 w/o a single bit of action being run for him. there has been zero offensive adjustment to help accommodate a lead scorer clearly can't go get his own the way Perry and Edwards did the last three seasons. 

I love that we have a rugged defensive identity, but we've seen the ceiling on this program can grow if we don't bring in assistant who can help coach up an offensive system.
