It's been interesting to watch one side of the political spectrum that used to be anti-war, anti crony capitalism, anti big pharma, anti big food, anti military industrial complex, pro privacy, anti surveillance state completely support every single one of those because they don't like the guy that is trying to dismantle all of that.

You take that literally?

And why do we subsidize Canada that much? Shouldn't we not?

So which do I take seriously? The fact that he's saying we should annex Canada, or the $100 million? Surely he wouldn't just be lying about either?

Yes, it must be really interesting to live in opposite land.

Better than the Liar in Chief we've had for the last four years and his brain dead VP that you somehow probably think were doing a good job.  I have to admit I sit an chuckle at all the shit  you and those from the Left called conspiracies that have ended up being proven correct.

lol Elon is already trying to crash the economy. Enjoy those tariffs!

Biden/Harris were doing just fine at crashing the economy with their “money grows on trees” attitude towards spending.
By the way, Elon has nothing to do with the economy.  His job is to cut excess like he did when he bought Twitter. Thankfully we have some people in place that know how to run businesses.

In 2022, Brand Finance valued Twitter at $5.7 billion. By 2023, this dropped to nearly $3.9 billion, and by 2024, the brand’s value had fallen to $673.3 million.

Elon Musk’s X is worth nearly 80% less than when he bought it, Fidelity estimates

X is now worth less than 25% of what Elon Musk paid for it

the US economy, by no actual measurable metric, has been "crashing" over the last four years.

Elon Musk, by no actual measurable metric, has shown he can run a business (outside of stripping one down and exploiting it to grow his own personal wealth)

"cut excess" - ya...let's create a new agency and hire co-chairs to show just how efficient things can be done.

The US economy has actually performed way better since the pandemic than pretty much everywhere else.  That's not to say thing are great for everyone (of course they never are - no matter how good things are doing, some folks are always living in poverty) in the States, but if one looks at the world at large, just about every nation has dealt with worse inflation than us.

Of course, didn't we all learn in school (I know I did - both in government and economics classes!), that the president has a limited ability to improve/worsen the economy.  Obviously government matters some, but I also know they get WAY too much credit when things are humming along and likewise are blamed WAY too much when things aren't.  It's the nature of the beast, even if it's not exactly fair.

I read the first three words of the post and thought someone had resurrected a 4-year-old thread.

I obviously need to pay closer attention. Nothing to see here.

Once again Republicans create their own little economic dystopia for some reason because your retirement accounts have never been higher, unemployment has never been lower, and inflation lagged behind the rest of the world.

Yeah the world's biggest welfare queen turning twitter into a cesspool of nazis, bots and crypto scammers. Throttling the political opposition and using illegal lotteries to try and buy votes. Suing companies because they dare choose not to advertise next to usernames like killk**es1488. Every time he makes another boneheaded announcement like allowing people to still see blocked tweets, or arbitration that has to be settled by a judge he's donated money to, threads/bluesky/mastadon get a bump in new users. The world's richest man's threats to shut down the government over the spending bill just got $190 million stripped away from childhood cancer research. Enjoy what's left of the federal government being sold off to billionaires with their added profit taxes because god forbid something not make money.

You two are hilarious acting like Twitter/X was the bastion of honesty and integrity under Jack's leadership and there were zero lies and no misinformation to be found.  Love how you all always throw out the term "Nazi's" but the Left's actions really exemplify that term.

So once again Trump makes a comment that gets people riled up and yet here we are now with the Canadian prime Minister on the verge of having to step down.

Exactly. The Left goes apeshit once they are out of office. So predictable.

all I did was point out that your "people who know how to run a business" was missing the phrase "into the ground".
