Notice how there is now little to no talk about the APR?  Sadly, I don't think anyone cares anymore.

From an article on IU's live portal tracker:

DB DJ Warnell Jr. (Oct. 3) - Warnell joined the IU program last offseason after transferring from Arizona, but he transferred from the Hoosiers midseason to preserve a redshirt year. Warnell played in four games with four tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup. Warnell has one season of eligibility remaining.

It won't be long before some other industry starts forming FB teams.  Kinda' like Sanders did with creating his private school football "schools".

Initially, they may have to "disguise" it a little just to get past the NCAA, but the NCAA has so little power, it won't take long before they can even go around that.

But imagine having: Amazon School of Business, Google Technology University, University of Washington-Microsoft, or Oregon-Nike University.  All of the degrees from these universities would be worthless but nobody would care and they sure could fund some FB teams.

They wouldn't even need NIL since all of these "schools(companies)" would get free advertising.  There's always talk about putting advertising on jerseys (like soccer) but these usually get shot down, but if the "school" is Nike, or Google, etc., then putting the name on the uniform is valid.

Not sure if you’re serious or tongue in cheek, but I still maintain that it’s the schools that drive the machine.  College football fans are, to a great extent, alumni of the schools they support.  Doesn’t matter who the players are, I’m supporting UNT.  I strongly believe it’s the same for most other schools.  You could run out Denton Ryan* in UNT uniforms vs TxSt at the bowl game and I’ll be cheering for (theoretically) the team in green.

*no jokes about how it would be a closer game if this were true.

My previous post was off topic, but I’m not sure about a guy who left a team that ended up in the playoff.  Winning doesn’t seem to be much of a priority.
