In a year that requires immediate improvement on the defensive side of the ball, I think pulling in an entire staff and a handful of players who already know the system and one another is likely one of the most efficient ways to do it.

Looking forward to seeing if they can pull off the big defensive turnaround in 2025!

I have no problem with the assistants. OK, with Cassity sticking by his guys, I hope it doesn't take too much time away from his Portal recruiting.

I see it as a BIG positive that Cassity had a chance to cull the staff he brought with him from SHSU.  It looks like he brought all the defensive side.  If he didn't like a work-effort or personality of someone he could have not invited them.  They know each other and will jell faster as a coaching unit than if all were new coaches to each other.

I feel if KC Keeler (the HC) was staying at SHSU that Cassity might not be coaching in their Bowl.  But because ALL the coaches are leaving, nobody cares if players get recruited away from SHSU.

Yeah, I think this might be a recruiting move on Cassity's part, and I bet he sold it to Morris/Mosely in that manner.   Otherwise, what's the positive for UNT?   We need him here filling roster gaps ASAP.   This might be the most efficient way.
