2024 Texas State Bobcat Marching Band pre-game show - Search

Here is the Green Brigade's competition at the Bowl game.

It looks like they have 200 instrument-playing members, and they get just as big a sound as our bloated 400+ band. PLUS, they are more energetic, and enthusiastic when it counts.....pre-game. You don't see them sauntering from one point to another on the field.......playing a tired old march (American Emblem). They enthusiastically play tunes that are tied to their school.

This is a great football band!

Have we even confirmed we're taking the band?

I was disappointed they didn't travel to Lubbock or San Antonio.

They didn't go to SA? I've gone to two games there and they had a pep band at both. Besides, there is a huge difference between driving to Lubbock or SA and Denton to SMU.....which (according to my outdated Bing browser) is 42.2 miles.

Nope, but I'm sure the game being on a Friday influenced it. I'm also not sure how much the band director's discretion has to do with it.

I would hope and assume the band would be in Dallas, but last year there weren't even student busses arranged for the SMU game. All the social media accounts were pushing people to watch on ESPN2 instead of attending.
