If it helps any, this is where our group has been tailgating for years whenever we played SMU.  Never had one problem with setting up the BBQ grill, TV, etc.

Can you tailgate behind your vehicle?  This is Burleson Park according to Google Maps.

Yeah we don't allow the Blvd to be used for non SMU events.  Basically there is not any tailgating for the minor bowls and other events.  The Blvd is owned by SMU and reserved for SMU sporting events.  You will just need to go to some of the sports bars and restaurants off Greenville and over by Le Madeline etc if you are wanting to do any pre-game meals etc.  Also most of the lower cost parking is on the other side of 75.  I would expect most UNT people would be taking the public transit that drops off at Mockingbird Station.

Wow, so small time. One of the reasons this venue is such a beating. It's not just because SMU plays there.

Yeah, I don't even park on campus.

Just got refund on my tickets

The mean green ticket office called and said the tickets I already purchased were not charged correctly and I needed to pay an additional $50 to keep the seats I already paid for.

I told them to kick rocks and refund the entire amount.

Ended up getting 2 free tickets for the game.

 Now I'm willing to attend.

Thanks for that Google Maps pic @UNT 90 Grad.  I guess they recently developed the parking lot and put in Burleson Park?   Dang, new info right there.  Sorry for the false alarm there y'all.  It does look like in the pic that the area below the park is now parking and that whole area was under construction last time we were there.  So maybe that should be open for tailgating?  Watch it be 25' out on game day and all this will be moot.  haha

Well this is delicious. The Frisco Bowl party against Boise was a blast. Make it happen athletics, association, whoever is spearheading this fiesta.

The FRB website doesn't address tailgating, not even in the FAQ's.

All I know is last year one of our Alums reached out and was told private tailgates had to be purchased through a bowl vendor (Revelxp) and the prices were ridiculous.

Good old SMU, I bet the vendor is tied to a grad of SMU.

Corporate office is in Georgia.  Wes Day is recently appointed CEO, and from North Carolina (per LinkedIN).

So, maybe.  Just wanted to throw that out there.

Just park and tailgate at one of the DART stations a few stops from Mockingbird???

I dunno...DART police might lose their s.

We’re likely parking in Plano and riding into Mockingbird station.  We do a similar thing for the State Fair. It’s always been fine.
