We were thinking of setting up a tailgate in the garage.  Just hope it warms up some!

Yeah we don't allow the Blvd to be used for non SMU events.  Basically there is not any tailgating for the minor bowls and other events.  The Blvd is owned by SMU and reserved for SMU sporting events.  You will just need to go to some of the sports bars and restaurants off Greenville and over by Le Madeline etc if you are wanting to do any pre-game meals etc.  Also most of the lower cost parking is on the other side of 75.  I would expect most UNT people would be taking the public transit that drops off at Mockingbird Station.

The lawn in the South end zone was replaced by the new End Zone Complex. The GA seats are in the north end zone (regular bleacher seats).

Tailgating at La Madeleine is such a SMU thing

This was our University/Alumni Association's official Tailgate. Our opponent (Rice) also had theirs setup a little ways down the Boulevard. I'd expect a similar arrangement this year, although it should be much larger with the Mean Green showing up.

Private tailgates weren't allowed, or at least had to be purchased from a bowl vendor, which was whack.

Just got refund on my tickets 

The mean green ticket office called and said the tickets I already purchased were not charged correctly and I needed to pay an additional $50 to keep the seats I already paid for. 

I told them to kick rocks and refund the entire amount.

That’s on the Bowl. They’ve changed the ticket pricing 3 times since the game was announced.

The game is over priced. Two $30 General Admission through the bowl/smu site come out to $66 with fees. UNT has them at $25 each and came out to $66 with fees.

      😂. Every time I read something I am completely perplexed by the pearl clutching and bitching about NIL. Jimmy Johnson made 1 million per year and settled for 3.9 million as a back to back Super Bowl Champion Head Coach. That is high class garbage take when looking at Jimbo Fisher. Texas A&M significantly better without him coaching but walks away with money Jimmy Johnson only dreamed of. How about some of these coaches and Administrators who have been taking far more value out of the system than they generated payback some of that money? Ironic NIL became a thing the same year Fisher signed a 10 year $95 million contract. Seems to so many everyone is cool for everybody in college football except the players being mercenaries. Now if you want put 50% of all players NIL income into a collective pot distributed to all players (on all FBS level teams) that actually record snaps (minutes) in games, then let’s discuss.       I’ve been told many times that they have zero interest in being a FedEx-like sponsor of UNT sports, that they don’t want to make Dentonites feel like they’re choosing to support UNT more than TWU and that they know most Dentonites don’t care for our athletic programs. That’s straight from Chamber of Commerce members, past and present. Denton is the single worst place for a college football team to exist.

      I really think it depends on if QB can get a significant raise here staying with a Mean Green roster that looks like it could have a “Boise State” like season. Chances are slim you going to keep from going to the biggest brands in P4 that is virtually promising a starting role without a 5-star QB already on the roster. But I believe you can keep them from going to mid-tier and bottom-tier P4 programs if we retain the coaches he likes, along with a raise, and roster. SMU spends big money but even if they spent 35% less than they currently do their starting QB isn’t transferring to a place like Vandy, Michigan State, Kentucky or Purdue just to lead rosters that have significant disadvantages for most of their conference games.
