And now that decision has come back to bite EM as we have no experience at QB for a Bowl game.   

The same will happen to Ross in basketball if he doesn't get his bench some meaningful minutes.  They will either transfer out or be unfamiliar when injuries happen and they are forced to play like our new bench football players in the Bowl.

I feel like I watch a lot of college football and I’ve never noticed that we play our backups any differently than most schools.  Any backups I see are handing off for the most part, but I honestly don’t feel like I even see that very often.

Yes, whenever I've brought this up before, the GMG board always lectures me that no other schools play backups either.
