Can't due to the start of the new semester of education. The NCAA needs to look at pushing that date back for all colleges, adding a 2 week portal window. The problem is, there is another portal window in March. It is one giant mess and I am not sure there is a good fix.

Maybe start forcing players to commit to a full year. Otherwise, if they are on scholarship/NIL and leave then force them to lose their accrued credits.

One portal period, in early spring after NSD and before Spring Ball. More than enough time for hoppers to assess their situation and make decisions. Saves the Bowl season (some). G-5's need to start offering 2 year contracts.
