Cobbs may be reaching the point to where he doesn't think he has a future here either and it may be because he doesn't want it any more.  I would hope not.

Tyler Perry is an actor. Tylor Perry did graduate and had one year of eligibility that he used at KSU.

I'll  talk to my phone about changing spelling without my authorization.

Couldn't agree more about Cobbs. As to Ragsdale, my observation was that he didn't stay healthy long enough in any season to be a dependable weapon. I trust Cobbs to assess and then develop anyone available....either right out of HS or a portal transfer. Porter is the prime example of what I am talking about. He transferred "officially" as a WR/DB and Cobbs (probably out of necessity) developed him into a very viable RB for spring practice. It carried over to the regular season.

Wow.  I'm sad to see Ragsdale leave.  He is an effective RB when healthy.   The best one on our roster this past season.  Sorry injuries took so much from him, and I hope he gets another opportunity somewhere (maybe closer to home?) to play.   I have no doubt he would have jumped back up to the #1 spot after Spring if healthy.

Yep.  Injuries have really slowed Ragsdale.  He looked like he had lost a step early this year prior to never seeing the field again.  I don't know if he hadn't fully recovered from his injury and off season surgery, or if the injury/surgery had left him a step slower.  He was never the fastest of "shiftiest" RB, but I applaud him for him contributions and wish him well.

So far, only 3 names have hurt:

1. C Tyler Mercer

2. CM

3. DT

The rest are meh

Mercer hurts because he played well for a true freshman,  let's not act like he's an all American.  All 3 are upgradable

Kind of a strange comment.  He literally was a freshman All-American.

Games are won and lost in the trenches, and losing our most promising young O-lineman hurts, no two ways about it.

And second recognition:

That's what I have been told by those close to the situation.

Regardless, I'm not sure I see Riley as a "darling of the program."  At least on this board, I see a lot of mixed feelings about him.  When I think of "darlings of the program," I think of players like Mason Fine, Brandon Kennedy, Johnny Quinn, Lance Dunbar, Patrick Cobbs.  I can't think of a player who transferred out of North Texas who would be held by fans in comparable esteem.

Damn straight

I honestly just wish they would start using other phrases besides, “With that being said…” in their posts.

I mean if you don’t have something original to say then at least say it in an original way.

Like:  “I accepted a bribe to go to …”.

Again, I hate TP, but Ragsdale pushed through injuries and still performed when healthy, but most importantly, he has his degree from UNT.  THAT is what is was supposed to do when he came here.

Having completed his degree, I have no reason to make any comment on what he wants to do with his life and, in this case, I wish him the very best success in FB wherever he ends up.
