Is the Portal out of control?
No. players before the Big Buy were more likely to stay with a program as long as they saw rewards of playing time eventually. The past transfer penalty to sit-out a year kept players at a school and on the team longer....long enough to bond with the school, other players, get girlfriends....it then became more like a home to them. They stayed. Now? it's all about "how much"? Not even about playing time or academics or part of the country. -

You know, SMU will be interesting to watch next year when they have a target on their back and they have to deal with expectations for the first time in about 40 years. Maybe they will fall back to being frauds and spares, but the current landscape makes me think that’s a pipe dream. I -

Bowl Tailgating
Thanks for that Google Maps pic @UNT 90 Grad. I guess they recently developed the parking lot and put in Burleson Park? Dang, new info right there. Sorry for the false alarm there y'all. It does look like in the pic that the area below the park is now parking and that whole area was under construction last time we were there. So maybe that should be open for tailgating? Watch it be 25' out on game day and all this will be moot. haha -
