How is this even thread worthy? None of these guys played much and the portal closes on December 28.

So guys have to leave now.

At UT if a 4 or 5 star guy doesn't work out, there's another 4 or 5 star guy to take his place.

These aren't NIL transfers they are playing time transfers.  They likely get, and will get, very little NIL.  Exactly the kind of players UNT should be going after.

Most G5s can hope for bounce-backs and hope to keep them a year or two

It's far more than any G5 school but it's not at the top of the P4. It's somewhere in the middle to lower-middle.

Great. Every two years you replace them. Just keep the cycle going.

An even better get is a senior who was passed up by a younger player, and just wants his final season or two with playing time. Experienced and not looking to transfer out, and discount.

How is that to better?   Replace or replace, no?

You get better players transferring down every year than you are pulling from HS. Overall roster still better.

We got two last year and both boneheads ended up being suspended most of the season. 🙄 We need to get some of the P4 bounce backs but have had much better luck with D2 and FCS starters looking to move up. Likely due to our lack of NIL to offer the more talented P4s. Playing time will only get you so far, except in the senior case.

I would imagine Tillman Fertitta helps U of H out a bit.
