Average high temps in Dallas for early January are 45-50 degrees.

Do we know where the indoor watching parties will be? 😂

The wife is a SWT alumni, so we're going to have a fun time trash talking.

I just hope they don't continue their domination of the AAC in Bowl Games.

I am underwhelmed, but I guess that is the best we could do with our record.

I'm sure the kids would like to travel to an exciting destination but many of the players from TX will also be happy that this makes it easier for their family to see them play in a bowl game.

Late bowl game.  Is there a fixed limit on number of practices allowed???

Even if not allowed to get more practices, maybe at least more time to get the defense adjusted and possibly EM can come up with a few more play options.

Teams are only allowed 20 hours/week, and 4 hours/day for football activities (like the regular season), between the end of the season and their bowl. This includes film study and walkthroughs.

There is no "15 practice rule", that is just a phrase some people use. Miami is definitely using their full 20, but may not be calling them "practice".

Edit: The daily and weekly hour limitations DO NOT apply to the following time periods:

  • During preseason practice prior to the first day of classes or the first scheduled contest, whichever is earlier.

  • During an institution's term-time official vacation period (e.g., Thanksgiving, spring break), as listed in the institution's official calendar, and during the academic year between terms when classes are not in session.
