I know it's a copium take but our loss to Army doesn't look so bad now.

We have short drives and can score in a hurry, the best plan is to simply never let us have the ball. Temple shut us out for almost 3 full quarters and it still wasn't enough. It was hard to watch, but I respect Army's hustle.

In a way I feel for West Point from the standpoint is this was such a huge win for their program.  But if they don't win next week, to most of their fanbase this one might not matter.

But doesn’t it make our loss to Tulane look worse?🤔

The Army/Navy game is their National Championship.  It is a different mentality

That's kind of my point.  Winning the league title was historic for them, but in a way it won't matter much if they can't beat the Middies next week.

So, what would have happened if Army didn't play and get crushed by Notre Dame and went 12-0 instead?   Say they beat a mid-P4 instead of Notre Dame to go 12-0 and were ranked ahead of Big12 Iowa St and Az St.    Would the CFP have really not let a Big12 team into the CFP?

$mut's coach was already advocating they deserved in the CFP (even if "when" they lose tonight to Clemson).  Most say Bama will get in instead.  It's the case of playing a conference championship game, and losing ranking to a team that does not play in a championship game.  Lol.

I can’t wait to return to the blessed soil of the USA to chat with my blue blood SEC friends to see how they feel about this whole playoff thing. It has given access to a host of programs they are so uninterested in. Is the country equally uninterested? I think so.

Boise or a G5 was never supposed to have a home game and bye.

the Big 12 is a glorified G5 without Texas and OU.

the ACC can still save itself if Clemson wins. Miami was a paper tiger all year.

the playoff needs Alabama, a villain, in the playoff or this could be a historically boring ending to the college football season.

The Big and SEC need to break off to preserve college football interest in the national stage. I’ll always be interested at whatever level UNT settles in at which will be a hodgepodge of Big 12 programs and some stronger AAC.

just my take. Can’t wait for the chat with Tiga Bait and Rockytop.

So what happens if someone other than the SEC or Big Ten wins it all?

It expedites the super league of about 28-30 teams. That is coming.

We are in the scramble to be in the next league right now.  Need a bowl win and AAC run next year.
