And we hired Eric Morris, as a KC Keeler starter kit maybe?   Yeah, I won’t be going to games next year.  Maybe if Temple comes to DATCU next year I will make at exception.  I will be the one wearing the custom “KC was Available” shirt.  MANY fans here first guessed this hire and wanted Keeler here instead of Morris.

What if we got his DC. You still crying?

SHSU was 9-3.  Seven of their wins were against teams with non winning seasons.  Keeler was 2-3 against winning teams.  As I read the board, for man, those are the wins that count.

This could be a death blow to that man’s career. Has Temple ever been good at football?

Temple was in the AAC championship against Herman and UH the year they had one loss then wiped the floor with FSU in the Peach Bowl.

No wonder he was in tears after the game against Liberty on Friday and saying we're all family here and such.  Guess he'd rather play in an empty Philadelphia Eagles stadium than wait on the renovation of Bowers.

temple all time is 41.1 winning %

north Texas is 43.6%

so…you’re safe!

Lol.   Renovations of Bowers (if it happens) will be a $60M press box, some suites and club level, plus restroom and concession space updates.  No major seating addition to their 14,000 seat stadium.

Not sure where you got your info.

Thru the 2023 season:  The Mean Green have played 106 seasons of football, compiling a record of 530–527–33 (.501)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_North_Texas_Mean_Green_football_seasons

Happy to show you:

Shame on me, because I know that our history goes back that far.  But my attempt to rib Lifer still stands 😉

PS: if you count those ties as part of the total, 530/1090 = 48.62%

Man hasn’t coached a single game at Temple and you’re already taking victory laps?

Lol.

Seasons: 60 (1953 to 2024)

What that says is we won more in small college football conferences from 1913-1952.

Since moving up to major school football conferences from 1953-2024 (except for the demotion to 1-AA 1983-1995) as we moved up in Conference power, it has become more difficult to sustain winning.

That is to be expected if you don't have the resources, donors, and support other major programs have.  Also, of course, coaching and recruiting has been unstable.   But still we have come a long way...into one of the Top 5 football conferences in the country!

The exact same thing was probably thought by other fan bases about Eric, Seth, Dan, and any other head coach we’ve hired here.

That is very subjective.  Boise State or UNLV probably will get the G5 spot in the playoff over a one loss Army team.  Louisville, SMU, Houston, Rutgers and Cincinnati left conference for greener pastures.  So I don’t know who anointed the AAC as 5th, but the playoff committee isn’t listening to them.  Army, a team brand new to the conference that came into the conference and dominated. They were independent juggernauts last year at 6-6 🙄.

AAC is viewed as better than the MAC, CUSA and Sun Belt.  But we certainly won’t be viewed as better than the reconstructed PAC 12 and right now it doesn’t look like we are viewed better than the current MWC.
