WBB at New Mexico (12/1/24)

Ladies play in Albuquerque at 2pm our time today. UNM will be a decent test. They are 4-3 with close losses to Big Sky leader Northern Arizona and at Texas Tech. They lost by 13 to Gonzaga at home last week.

New Mexico plays fast and makes shots. Four triples in the first quarter, clean with the basketball, and UNT trails 28-12 after one. We look totally unprepared.

Behind 20-39 at half and lucky to be that close.

1-8 from the three, and 11 turnovers.

Look totally outclassed, some maybe due to the location; but not this total disaster of a first half.

Lost bad 58 to 73.

Played even the second half, but missed a lot of shots including layups. 

Did not look like a well coached team.  Lazy offense, with whoever can shoot first; usually does.  

The big positive is that Price, a freshman looks like she will be getting a lot more play. Got 10 pts, which led NT.

Unfortunately Lampkin had an off game, obviously the focus of New Mexico's defense.  Got pushed around under the basket by a big New Mexico frontcourt.

Missed opportunity, team will need to be Top 3 in AAC to make any post season
