Lol.  Ryan Day is 1-4 against Michigan, but 44-1 against the rest of the Big 10.

But the same request will happen to fire Elko at A$M if he keeps losing to Texas.  Rivalry games are bigger to some fans than any other, regardless of Trophy or Championships.

Elko will be fine. Texas had the superior team this year. A true title contender. I’ve never liked the horns but for some  reason this team is interesting. I still think they get smoked by Georgia but they could win it all.

Day should go to Florida or FSU where the pressures will be different. He’s not gonna win the natty this year and the nuts are going to march torches to his office.

Do Longhorn fans consider A&M their rival? I always thought UT (Texas) fans thought of OU as their bitter rival. I think the so-called rivalry is something cooked up by A&M fans personally.

OSU keeps Ryan Day but it's hard to argue against firing a coach with $200M+ football budget and losing to a 7-5 Michigan team in Columbus.

Stupid!

Absurb this is even being discussed.   Coaching is overvalued and this is an example of that double edge sword cutting the wrong way.  If they had gotten blown out by Michigan this year I would understand entertaining this question.  Vegas isn't accurate especially for in conference late season rivarly games.

You could bring Saban into UNT with unlimited coaching staff salaries.  But if our NIL money pool stays exactly where it is Saint Saban would struggle to win a AAC Championship (without cheating the NIL system to get money to players).

UT doesn't talk about OU in their fight song and OU doesn't talk about UT in their fight song.

UT and A&M on the other hand....

Then the Notre Dame coach should be fired also for losing at home to Northern Illinois.
