Which overall group of players on this year's team had the largest positive impact on our season..our returning players, transfers coming in this year, or current freshmen?  Please explain why you chose that group.

Definitely Transfers:  Chandler Morris, DT Sheffield, Jayden Hill, Landon Peterson

Rod Brown has been a beast all season, though.

Where would be without Brayden Nelson and Tyler Mercer?

I hope Chandler stays and I am not so sure that he wants to transfer.  He was lighting it up here for 1/2 the season before things really cooled off.  The late season drop will probably prevent him get an offer from a big power school with an offense that he could flourish in. Morris is also only 6', when the average college QB is 6'2" and many are over 6'4

He also seems like a guy that wants to start and would not want to end up in a Chandler Rogers position at a place like Cal.

Chandler Morris WILL get P4 offers similar to what Chandler Rogers got at Cal (which I heard was $250K). And we won’t be able to offer anything near that.
But considering his injury history and less impressive 2nd half of the season (including WAY too many interceptions) I don’t see him getting a “Godfather” $1M+ offer to go start somewhere.
And while $250K was probably a lot of money to Rogers, Morris’ dad has made MILLIONS coaching and being a returning starter with the potential to put up even bigger numbers would probably be more valuable to him as this is his third school already and his career trajectory after next season will probably be NFL tryout, get cut, begin well-paid college coaching career under one of his dad’s many connections.
But it only takes ONE godfather offer to change his mind and never underestimate the desperation of P4 boosters.
