Ugh. "North Texas" script again. 

 

Build the damn brand and use the SoW and the winged helmet,  or God forbid, the interlocking NT if anyone ever had the balls to deal with the NT Exes.

That helmet was kind of cool as a throwback to honor a team from the past who wore them.  Not so cool as our main helmet.  But at least it’s green, so there’s that.

I still think we have an identity problem. Are we Mean Green, or Eagles? Green and white, or green and black? Personally, I like the color combo and don't mind the script. But I do wish we'd decide what our identity is and stick with it.

Having to spell out your school name on the helmet screams "nobody knows us" and "small time"!

Couldn’t agree more.  Who would put their school name on the side of the helmet?  And nobody would do it in script.

Someday UNT athletics will be led by people who understand that changing uniforms, helmets and color combinations all the time means your football team has no identity. For the love of Baby Jesus pick one and use it all but one or two games a year.

How do we continue to attract people from Ponyfans and cougar fans ?  Are the fan sites from those schools so bad they feel the need to come over here ?  Are some of us going to the dark side and provoking them ?

I dislike the script.  I also dislike it on our basketball uniforms.

I’m marginally OK with having the script on there.  
 

I’m not at all OK with using Brophy Script font that’s straight out of Microsoft Word.  
 

Those helmet scripts are somewhat iconic because they are unique to them.  Specialized font.   We literally are marketing a generic free font that’s on millions of computers right now.
