I was very surprised that the volleyball coach was fired, and wonder if there were unreported reasons for the change.

It imo was a good decision.  Far from being a vb expert, but she did make a lot of questionable in game decisions.

Have seen nothing about finding her replacement.  Most of Moseley's hires have been upgrades and I hope that continues.

Just being testy but have they been?

EM = SL even minor regression

Hodge finished 7th after taking over NIT Championship team

Stone looks solid will take another year to get tennis moving, Lama had very good players but could not keep them happy enough to stay in Denton, 2 very different coaching styles.

Can't believe anyone at this point is not happy with what Hodge has done.  How many starters did he inherit from that NIT championship team?

Comparing football coaches pre and post NIL is not very meaningful.  The fact that Morris basically had to start over with the roster can't be overlooked.

Morris's fate should be decided next season.  His teams can move the ball, but defense has been awful.

Sorry but all the issues you listed are what the majority of G5's have to deal it, should be same standards. Still does not change that Hodge was on staff for the NIT Championship team and did not recruit the players needed to fully reload. Same with EM coming, plus he chose poorly on his DC and should hand off to a true OC. All choices by these coaches.

I have no idea what point you are attempting to make.  The basketball team is doing fine at this point, have you already decided this won't be a good year before the first conference game?

Likewise the new DC of football is not worthy, based on what?

DC comment is regarding Caponi, I love his new choice, but Defense suffered for 2 years.

As for Hodge, think team is a once again middle of the road AAC, losses to McNeese and High Point highlight that and negate the Oregon St and Minnesota wins, should not expect to be a Top 3 team in conference, especially when expected to only be a 1-2 bid conference max

Have you looked at McNeese and Points' home records?

If you really think Hodge is not doing a good job, than I can't imagine; what NT mbb coach you think was able to do more.  Blakeley or McCasland maybe, but neither had to deal with the NIL situation at NT.

NT lost in reality all their starters.  Sissoko started a lot, but usually was quickly replaced.

Hodge has basically started over and has the team playing very good basketball.  Being in the top 3 in the AAC will be a challenge for any conference team.  I don't think even Memphis with all their advanages have that guaranteed.
