Anyone else still rooting for Eric Morris?

I want Eric Morris to succeed, but our next coach can’t be Jason Witten unless Witten takes an assistant college coaching job somewhere for a few years and learns how running a college football team works. 

All of the coaches who have succeeded jumping from high school to college spent a few years as an assistant at a successful college program before becoming a head college coach. Or head coached at a lower level of college first.

Unless we’re sitting at the top of the conference, year after year, this is going to be a regular occurrence.  And that’s not a slight at UNT.   It’s the mark of today’s youth/families.    
 
Grass is always greener.  My kid deserves better. It’s easier to jump than it is to fight.
