Do I want him to turn it around and be successful?  Well a successful EM means a successful NT, so yes.

Do I think he can turn it around, hell no.

Do I think he has the the coaching ability and intellect to turn it around, also no.

I wrote this a week or two ago but didn’t post, it’s pretty harrowing. Wins and end of season rankings for Morris. It’s the same as Seths record beat g up on Rice, UTEP, MTSU & FIU and losing every big game.

2023

3-9 Louisiana tech (131)

5-6 FVS ACU

3-9 temple (126)

4-8 Tulsa (125)

4-8 UAB (110)

0-4(5) vs winning teams, cal went 6-7

2024

4-5 USA (74)

6-4 FCS SFA

2-8 Wyoming (125)

3-7 Tulsa (123)

2-7 FAU (128)

Game remains vs 3-7 Temple (127) and 6-4 ECU (loss now) (96)

*USA is now 6-5 so technically so he does have one win over a team ending the season over .500 as of now.

My math may be off but we are 1-9 vs. teams who end season above .500

HELL NO I DONT SUPPORT THIS BS.

We all saw this coming when they didn’t try to sign new portal players for the front six. Just dumb as hell, I am as out as out can be on this university and Morris.

UNT has only done worse since firing Seth..  Didn't we actually play in a conference championship?   You can't even get the slightest scent of that from the current HC. Maybe a 3rd year miracle will occur...

I can’t believe how many apologists have come out to either pledge loyalty to Morris or just admit they are resigned to permanent loserville. We definitely can afford to buy out a coach. And we should.

With what money? All the extra NIL money that is laying around? Are you going to finance his buyout?
I’d rather keep Morris and have them put my $ towards a new defensive tackle.

And who will coach that expensive DT?

We have an over $50M a year athletics budget. Significantly more than FAU and Charlotte who are pulling the plug on their failed year 2 coaching experiments. Are you saying we’re not capable of doing what these peers do? It’s a matter of will, not resources.

Exactly.  Also, when does the spotlight start moving over to the AD with all these bad hires?  I also don't just "give" Mosley the Ross Hodge hire as that was a slam dunk he inherited from big Wren.

We build all these new athletic facilities in hope of bring in great talent. Seems to me the part the administration is forgetting about is providing proven leadership also. We always go the cheap route in hopes we find a diamond in a goats arse.

I'm rooting for Morris because I don't see a buyout happening now. If boosters have that kind of money it would be better spent on players.

And after we spend all our NIL on a prospect(s) and they bolt after the year, then what? What if they don’t even play I.E. Gabe Blair)? We’re still stuck with the same philosophy that hasn’t worked. We’re at a terrible place in our program, but it seems like we’ve had a lot of practice with it.

That is the same question every team in college football has to ask themselves until the current Wild West era ends. I'd rather spend money improving a third year Morris team than pay him to live his best unemployed life.

Like others have said these five-year deals suck. Give a new coach a three-year deal.

“We can’t afford to buy him out”

”we def can afford to buy him out”

lots of posts with a sense of authority on this, from both sides. Does anyone have any actual insight, or are you just extremely comfortable in your assumption?
