The weird thing is we have (and pay for) an OC and QB coach, but Morris seems to want to play those roles.   If we can’t fire him, can he be reassigned to the two roles he seems to want to play?  Then take the current OC and QB pay and add that to whatever is necessary to bring in a legitimate HC and someone to overrule Morris when he wants to do something stupid.

In short, I'd keep Morris here next year, but only as the QB coach on someone else's staff. As a head coach, Morris is shaping up to be another Littrell. He beats bums, and loses to any team that will actually post a winning record. I have no interest in watching more of this crap for two more year, while the AD waits to afford a new coach. What a waste of a 5-1 season.

EM would be elated if he were anything close to SL.

It’s ridiculous quotes like this that drive me mad.  SL was poo. Pissing contests about which poo smells worse is useless.they are all poo.

he has no answer when our offense needs to line up and play smash-mouth football and fight for a yard.

I've been preaching this in the group chat all season. Our execution in short yardage situations has been ass. 1-9 on 4th down conversions the past two games. 0-for on 2-point tries this year. On the touchdown run that wasn't against Army, we still had 2nd and goal inside the 1 and couldn't convert. Our last failed 4th down against UTSA we had 2nd and 1.

“I don’t know,” Eric Morris said of how he’ll try to prepare UNT for a game against Temple with so much on the line. “I’ll have to figure that out.

“I haven’t done enough as a head coach to get us prepared to consistently make these plays. It’s not on these kids right now. It’s on me.”

Did Brett Vito put on his captain obvious hat after the response?

If EM hasn’t  figured that part out the past 6 weeks, he ain’t gonna do it now.
