100% agree. Sadly he has been over his head since day one and doesn't seem to have the confidence in himself to hire the experience to surround himself with to learn.

Let me throw this question out on the table if I might. When it comes to hiring a football coach do you have confidence in Mosley? Seems like in this hire he was taken in by a fancy presentation and a good speaker.

Don't know what the buyout is on the 3 years left on his contract but I promise you we don't have the money to buy him out and hire a quality candidate to replace him.

I would feel safe and guarantee there are G5 level coaches who make half of what he does perform better.

Since it doesn't seem to matter who we hire to coach football, why can't we get creative and sign a coach to a 3 year deal?  Offer major incentives.  Don't say we can't do this because we wouldn't be able to get anyone to hire...someone would take the job.

Let me jump in because you will have people say that will not allow them to recruit. News flash everyone with today's NIL you turn most your roster over every year so having a coach guaranteed to be here 4 to 5 years is not going to keep players around. I'm off or having a scented base contract that says for every year you went seven games or more we add a year to your contract but no more long-term guarantees especially on a coach who has never successfully coached at the FBS level PS also they may be great guys but no more hiring graduate assistance to coach your offensive and defensive lines.

I think you give him a minimum of 1 more year and see how he does with a new DC. The problem is I don’t know what kind of DC you can hire if the HC is on the hot seat.

Good question. But I guarantee you there will be a lot of guys that would take the position.

Morris has made too many egregious mistakes with game management this year for me to have any belief that he has what it takes to run a program.  Poor decisions going for it on 4th and not getting a FG/punt, poor clock management, poor time out management, poor play calling on crucial downs, etc. We are playing like we are in a hail mary situation in the 1st quarter. If you don't have the basics down you aren't ready for the job.

No 🙂 I think Mosely is also in over his head.  Fortunately for him (and us), Coach Hodge was here and fell into his lap.

- No confidence EM can hire the right defensive coordinator

- No confidence that Mosely can hire the right football coach

It would be an enormous challenge to do worse by design

Mosley needs to move quickly!

Giving these coaches 4-5 year contracts can make them complacent. It seems they may not have the urgency to get things going due to the years they have, so they always feel like they’ll get that chance once again. Terrible thing for Jared to do for an unproven coach with no HC experience. I’m not going to count his IW stint since that’s a different division all together.
